Terms of Service

1. Service

CareerBud is an asset, maintenance, and operations platform. It is offered as a paid hosted subscription and, separately, as a paid self-hosted licence. Under the self-hosted licence the buyer receives a copy of the CareerBud source code and a contractual licence to deploy and operate the software on the buyer’s own server or other compatible infrastructure. The service is provided on an “as-is” basis without warranties.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information.
• You are responsible for your account security.

3. Subscription and Payments

• Plans are billed monthly or annually.
• New accounts include a 30-day free trial with full access. No payment is required to start the trial.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
• You may cancel anytime.

4. Cancellation and Data

• After cancellation, access to the hosted service ends immediately.
• Hosted data is stored for 30 days.
• After 30 days, hosted data is permanently deleted.

5. Refunds

• No refunds for monthly subscriptions.
• Annual plans may receive a partial refund excluding the month of cancellation.

6. Self-hosted licence

• This is a paid software licensing option, separate from the CareerBud hosted subscription.
• The buyer receives a copy of the CareerBud source code and a contractual licence to deploy and operate the software on the buyer’s own server or other compatible infrastructure, subject to the licence agreement.
• The licence includes support for deployment and operation of the licensed software, as specified in the agreement.
• It is intended for organisations that want to manage their own hosting environment and operate the software independently of CareerBud’s hosted service.
• Ownership of the underlying intellectual property remains with CareerBud unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
• Redistribution, resale, or sublicensing is permitted only where expressly authorised by the licence agreement.
• Data created while the software runs on the buyer’s server stays under the buyer’s control.

7. Acceptable Use

• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Reverse engineer the hosted service
• Resell or share subscription access
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense CareerBud except where the licence agreement expressly allows it

8. Limitation of Liability

CareerBud is provided without guarantees. The operator is not liable for data loss, downtime, or indirect damages.

9. Support

Support is provided on a best-effort basis.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
